International Working Women’s Day (March 8th), is a Socialist political event celebrated around the world by women’s organizations, the global labor movement and progressive countries. On IWWD we pay homage to the tremendous contributions that women workers have made in the fight for social justice.   It is a day when we reaffirm women’s incalculable value as leaders of our families, communities and movements.  It is a day when we recognize the women who have made tremendous gains for the poor, workers and oppressed.   IWWD, more than anything else, is a day that all workers, stand valiantly in the face of capitalism and expose its consistent subjugation of women for its own continued existence.
